En 2022, Perche & Giraud a eu l’honneur de participer au prestigieux gala de la Born This Way Foundation de Lady Gaga, organisé à la Villa Forbes à Cannes. Cet événement caritatif, destiné à soutenir les actions de la fondation en faveur de la santé mentale et du bien-être des jeunes, a rassemblé des invités triés sur le volet dans une soirée d’exception.

How We Were Chosen

We were approached by an event planning and production company who had heard of us and our expertise as caterers specializing in hight-end events. Their objective was clear: to organize a charity dinner signed by Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Sale. They were looking for a caterer capable of working with a chef of this stature, while mastering the specific logistics of such a large-scale event. For us, it was an incredible opportunity and recognition of all our hard work over the past 10 years.

 

A Memorable Evening, An Incommensurable Pride

Participating in such an event, with a Michelin-starred chef and in the service of such a noble cause as the Born This Way Foundation, was a real source of pride for us. We felt that our efforts, our quest for perfection and our ability to innovate were finally being recognized. Working in collaboration with world-renowned chef Nicolas Sale on this gala dinner for 120 people was a consecration in itself. The evening marked a milestone in our journey, confirming that Perche & Giraud was ready to take on the most prestigious challenges.

An exceptional menu by Nicolas Sale

The menu concocted by Nicolas Sale was a reflection of the event: refined, bold and rooted in the excellence of French gastronomy. We served a five-course dinner for the 120 guests, with incredible creations such as :

  • Pearly langoustine with garlic caramel and grapefruit
  • Raw langoustine, caviar imperial and peppery evolutive
  • Sea bass fillet, roasted fennel and shellfish espuma

Each dish was an ode to French gastronomy, showcasing exceptional products and uncompromising savoir-faire. We adapted the service and set-up to ensure a perfect culinary experience, despite limited space and less-than-ideal weather conditions.

A Perfect Collaboration with Nicolas Sale

Working with Nicolas Sale was a smooth and friendly process. Right from the start, he put us at ease. Despite his seriousness and professionalism, Nicolas Sale doesn't take himself too seriously, and this made for a pleasant, relaxed working atmosphere. On the day of the event, he was accompanied by his second-in-command, Chris Consenove, who had already followed him during his years at the Ritz in Paris, where he was head of the restaurants La Table de l'Espadon (2 stars) and Les Jardins de l'Espadon (1 star).

These two chefs, accustomed to daily excellence, were delighted to share the evening with our team. Their recognition of our rigor and respect for a job well done was a highlight. And our collaboration with Chris Consenove didn't stop there. Since that event, Chris has continued to lend a hand at our biggest events, such as the 2500-strong solemn entry to the Marseilles Bar in June 2024 in Marseilles.
